EUGENE A.
PROFIT CEO
Eugene Profit founded
Profit Investment Management in 1996 and has overall management
responsibility for the firm and client portfolios. Mr. Profit's
unique investment management philosophy and approach to
valuation-sensitive growth investing has made him the subject of
many profiles in the financial media including Business Week, Smart
Money, Black Enterprise, Pension & Investments and Investors
Business Daily. He has also been a guest on Wall Street Week, Money
Line, CNBC, CNN, and other financial news programs. Prior to
founding PIM, Eugene was a financial
consultant with a regional broker/dealer.
Eugene graduated from
Yale
University with a B.A. in
Economics. Eugene is a financial and
operations principal, a graduate of Leadership Washington and a
former National Football League Player with the New England Patriots
and Washington Redskins.
MICHELLE Q.
PROFIT, ESQUIRE SENIOR VP & CHIEF COMPLIANCE
OFFICER
Michelle Profit
serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief
Compliance Officer at Profit Investment Management.
Ms. Profit is responsible for regulatory filings with the
Securities Exchange Commission and reviewing all legal documents,
including advisory contracts and leases. Previously, Michelle was
Assistant General Counsel for the Credit Union National Association
and a senior attorney with the Federal Reserve Board where she
worked on the landmark CitiBank-Travelers merger. Michelle holds a
law degree from Harvard
University and a Master’s in
Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government. She holds a
B.A. in Economics & Political Science from
Yale
University.
CARMEN JOHNSTON COLT SENIOR VICE
PRESIDENT, TRADING & OPERATIONS
Carmen Johnston Colt
joined Profit Investment Management in July of 2005 as head of
operations and trading. Her responsibilities include trading for all
our Products, front, middle & back office duties, client
reporting, portfolio recordkeeping and heading up the Operations
Department. Prior to joining Profit, Carmen was a senior head equity
trader for ING which she joined in 2000. She has also worked as an
equity and fixed income trader for a registered investment advisor
in Orlando and as a trader and sales assistant for Drexel Burnham,
Prudential and Smith Barney. In total, Carmen brings more than 20
years of investment experience to our trading desk. She is an active
member in 100 Women in Hedge Funds National and Local
chapters. Carmen has a B.S. in Biology from Rollins College.
MICHELLE
RHODESBROWN, CFA ASSISTANT PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Michelle
RhodesBrown, CFA joined Profit Investment Management in July of 2006
as a Senior Equity Analyst, covering consumer discretionary stocks
and consumer staples. She has also worked as consumer analyst with
Holland Capital Management and as a Manager in the Business
Valuation and Real Estate Group of Deloitte and Touche,
LLP. She graduated from University of
Pennsylvania’s
School
of Engineering
and Applied Science with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical
Engineering and Applied Mechanics. She also holds
a Masters of Management degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of
Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Ms. RhodesBrown is a CFA Charterholder, a
member of the CFA Institute and a member of the CFA Society of
Chicago. In addition, she is a Director of the Delta Research and
Educational Foundation.
MANPREET SINGH,
CFA SENIOR EQUITY ANALYST
Manpreet
Singh joined Profit Investment Management in September of 2000 and
has held various positions since joining the firm. He is currently a
Senior Equity Analyst and is responsible for equity research and
assisting the portfolio manager. Manpreet has been quoted or the
subject of profiles in the media including the Wall Street Journal,
Financial Times, Bloomberg, Indus Business Journal, Gazette, Potomac
Almanac, India Today, Indian Panorama, Wharton Journal, Fortune
Magazine, CFA Magazine, Tampa Bay Tribune, TheStreet.com, Smart
Money and Dow Jones/MarketWatch. He began his career founding a
technology start-up company with his brother. Manpreet graduated in
the Honors Program Cum Laude with a B.S. in Finance and citation in
Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland at College Park.
Manpreet has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business with a
triple major in Finance, Entrepreneurial Management and Real Estate.
While at Wharton, Manpreet served as a Fund Fellow managing a part
of the school’s endowment and had an internship at Stark
Investments, focusing on investing in the Long/Short equity
book. Mr. Singh holds the CFA charter and at the time of
receiving his charter he was considered one of the youngest CFA
charterholders in the world. He was named the “Most Ambitious”
CFA charterholder by the CFA institute in 2006. He is a member
of the CFA Institute and the Washington Society of Investment
Analysts. In addition, he is a Director of the LaKan Foundation, a Charter Member of TiE DC and
founding member of Seva Call.
GUAYLON
ARNIC EQUITY ANALYST
Guaylon Arnic joined
Profit Investment Management in March of 2007 as an Equity Analyst.
His duties include fundamental research in the telecom, aerospace,
energy and the industrial sectors of the market. Prior to joining
Profit Investment Management, Mr. Arnic served as the Director of
Corporate Development and Investor relations for MDC Holdings, where
he worked on the company's mergers and acquisitions, as well as
heading up the Investor Relations efforts. Mr. Arnic also worked at
US Bancorp Asset Management from 2001 to 2004 as an Equity Analyst
where he covered the consumer discretionary sector. Mr. Arnic holds
an M.B.A. in Finance from the
University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Management from
Tennessee State University. Guaylon is
currently a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
candidate.
MATTHEW
KO EQUITY ANALYST
Matthew Ko
joined Profit Investment Management in March of 2008 as an Equity
Analyst, covering financial stocks. He previously worked as an
Institutional Broker in the High Yield and Equity groups at
Friedman, Billings, Ramsey and as an investment banker in the
Leveraged Finance and Private Placements groups at Banc of America
Securities. He graduated magna cum laude from James Madison
University with a degree in finance. Mr. Ko is currently a Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) candidate.
MONTINA
ANDERSON SENIOR MARKETING ASSOCIATE
Montina J.
Anderson has been an investment professional for the past 15 years.
Before joining Profit Investment Management in March 2008, she
worked as a wealth management professional for Citigroup and Merrill
Lynch respectively. Upon graduating from undergraduate school, she
served as a sales assistant on the Institutional Government Bond
Desk, at a Wall Street firm in New York City. She holds a B.A. from
the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from American University
and is Series 7, 63 and 65 licensed. Montina is Treasurer and an
active member of the Prince George’s County Chapter ofThe Links
Inc., and serves as Assistant Treasurer for The Recreation Wish List
Committee Board which provides quality enrichment services to the
District of Columbia’s children and teens during non-school, weekend
and summer hours in safe, well-maintained facilities and parks.
ALBA
GONZALEZ PORTFOLIO ANALYST
Alba Gonzalez
joined Profit Investment Management in March of 2008 as a Portfolio
Analyst. Her responsibilities include portfolio reconciliations,
annual client reporting, maintaining databases, and client services
fulfillment. Prior joining Profit, Ms. Gonzalez worked as a
portfolio analyst at Fortigent. She also worked as an analyst at
Wells Fargo in the mortgage asset backed securities department. Ms.
Gonzalez has over eight years of industry experience. She holds a
M.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in
Finance/International Business from the University of Maryland.
CHRISTINE
CLARK PORTFOLIO ADMINISTRATOR
Christine
Clark joined Profit Investment Management in March of 2008 as a
Portfolio Administrator. Her responsibilities include portfolio
bookkeeping, reconciliation and client reporting. Prior to joining
Profit Investment, Christine worked as a Staff Accountant for
International Partnership for Microbicides a non-profit product
development partnership (PDP) established in 2002 to prevent HIV
transmission for women in developing countries. There she was
responsible for managing the payroll for their U.S. and
international offices and other various accounting responsibilities.
She is finalizing her B.A. degree in Business Administration with a
concentration in Banking and Finance at Bowie State University in
Bowie, Maryland. In her spare time, Christine participates in
the Angelic Steps dance ministry at Celebration Church in Columbia,
Maryland or she is playing on the Baltimore Gray's tournament
softball team.
TABITHA
BLAND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Tabitha Bland joined Profit Investment Management in
May of 2009 as an Administrative Assistant. Her
responsibilities include, general administrative functions, document
production and client service. Prior to joining Profit,
Tabitha was an Administrative Assistant for Nationwide Asset
Services in Phoenix
, AZ.
There she acted as a liaison with creditors and worked closely with
the finance departments to resolve disputes and increase
productivity, as well as other various administrative
responsibilities. She is in the process of receiving her B.A.
in Business Administration at Montgomery
College.
